Francoudi & Stephanou is a Cypriot business conglomerate established in Famagusta in 1895, by Agisilaos Francoudi. At the turn of the century, the company he founded was the first agency to initiate containerization in Cyprus and continued to build its position in the shipping agency/container handling business. By the 1930s, Francoudi & Stephanou was gradually stepping outside of shipping and into alcohol, trade and distribution imports.
